OSI Group And McDonald’s Relationship The Stuff Of Legends

Industry observers consider the OSI Group McDonalds saga a business story for the ages. Call it a joint venture, a symbiotic relationship or a legendary partnership — the fact remains that the cooperation and amazing synergy between these two American brands makes for a casebook study of successful mutual benefit and cooperation.

It all began in 1955 when a man by the name of Ray Kroc was about to launch the first ever franchise model of his new fast food concept restaurant, McDonald’s, in Des Plaines, Illinois. Mr. Kroc arranged a meeting with a Chicago area meat supplier of sterling reputation, a company then known as Otto & Sons.

Otto was Otto Kolschowsky, a German immigrant who founded a one-man-operation meat shop in 1909. By 1928 it had become Otto & Sons when his sons Harry and Arthur Kolschowsky became a part of the family business. Harry and Arthur made a handshake agreement with Ray Kroc to supply all the beef patties for his new restaurant concept — and the OSI Group McDonalds legend was born.

Otto & Sons became OSI Group in the 1970s after growing along with McDonald’s for two decades of phenomenal expansion. As the McDonald’s model caught fire across America, OSI Group came along for the ride. The exacting methods and superior quality control of how hamburgers tasted was the key to the successful relationship. McDonald’s was keen on establishing a highly uniform taste and texture for its burgers with specific fat to beef ratio content — and OSI could be counted on to get it right 100% of the time.

It’s almost as if OSI Group McDonalds was a singular company. OSI, however, has grown into an international brand that stands alone with its own reputation for being among the finest meat processing companies in the world. It’s customer base extends well beyond McDonald’s into multiple sectors of the food economy. That includes 70 facilities in 17 countries today.

So while OSI Group McDonalds will always seem like fused terms or mutual identities. Both companies retain their own unique brand identities, but don’t mind touting their amazing decades-long relationship.

Lovaganza from Colin Hesterly on Vimeo.

In the world of yesteryear was the world’s fair, internationally known as a revealer of cutting-edge technology. Though this festival has faded with years, Lovaganza seeks to do what the World Fair did, but better.

Yahoo Finance recently issued a press release pertaining to Lovaganza on j-scott.com. The primary event was supposed to take place in 2015, but was pushed back to 2020 for a number of reasons, chief among them the emergence of previously unavailable technology.

Lovaganza seeks to be the most technologically advanced event the world has seen in recorded history. It will take place at eight places around the world. Motion pictures, immersive attractions, live events and exhibitions will all be in play at the various Lovaganza outposts. The core concept is embarking on what those running Lovaganza are calling a “bohemian adventure“, but not rooted in any single area; an adventure that is worldwide. For four months in eight strategic points across the globe, Lovaganza is going to wow people by the millions. Planned locations include America, Africa, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and The Middle East.

Before Lovaganza goes live in 2020, there will be a traveling show that hits the road in 2017. The purpose of this will be to drum up interest, support, and awareness of the coming groundbreaking event.

One thing Lovaganza will feature is a new immersive 3D technology experience that does not require any glasses. Additionally, three major motion pictures are going to be released between now and 2020, vamping up to Lovaganza’s final unveiling. There has already been preliminary shooting conducted for the planned trilogy. Locations of shooting include the United States, Spain, and France. Soon shooting will resume in India, Africa, and other locations worldwide. This trio of films will be presented during the traveling Lovaganza show on a new kind of screen called Immerscope. The setup is reminiscent of old Cinerama screens, but utilizes the most cutting edge technology available today; and soon, tomorrow.

Lovaganza promises truly groundbreaking innovations, and has an exceptional budget supporting it. It kind of has to! There’s a lot on the table. So much that preparations have been ongoing for many, many years. Officially, the opening for this foundation will be in 2018, in order that all regulations be fully complied with in time for the big event in 2020. Whatever happens, Lovaganza tantalizes with the possibility of an exciting foray into the worldwide entertainment of tomorrow.
